The Ladies would be nothing without you fans having your say. Over the years, so many of you have written in to the BBC demanding another series, which accounts for the Ladies longevity, and for which we cannot thank you enough.

Excellent. One of the few programmes that I've watched where the pictures are as good as the ones I imagined when listening to the radio series.

In the absence of anything worth watching on the regular channels I, fortunately, tuned in to ITV3 on the computer and came across Ladies of Letters. What a joy. I watched last week's episode followed by tonight's. Can't wait for next week when hopefully I will remember to log on again. Well done ITV3 for this scoop and well done to the writers of this unique programme which was superbly presented.

BRILLIANT! I haven't heard the radio version but Maureen Lipman and Anne Reid do an amazing job. I have been searching for a DVD of the TV series as I cannot wait for the next episode!! Actually I want 2 copies, one for myself and one for my mother who I know would love it, but hasn't got a PC or Freeview. Please let me know as soon as there is a release, Thank you.

Congratulations ITV for this great TV programme. Anne Reid and Maureen Lipman are brilliant as the Ladies of Letters. It's too good to be stuck on ITV 3 though and needs to have a much wider audience for everyone to enjoy. I am writing this to pass the time waiting for the next episode at 10.00pm tonight as there is nothing else worth watching!

What a pity it is on ITV3, as we have to watch it on our computer. It is an absolute joy.

Wonderful, I loved it. Very faithful to the original but "opened out" for TV in just the right way. A unique series in every way. Did anyone else have trouble recording it from Freeview? Though I set it up correctly it didn't record so I tried again on the repeat yesterday and it still didn't record. I was hoping to keep the series so I hope it gets a DVD release.

Completely exquisite. I always enjoyed this on the radio but this was something else again. I cannot imagine how difficult a task it must be to act what is effectively a two-hander as a one hander, if you see what I mean, but Mesdames Lipman and Reid just soared over it. Wonderful. Really feel good stuff. Can't wait for next week.
