The Ladies would be nothing without you fans having your say. Over the years, so many of you have written in to the BBC demanding another series, which accounts for the Ladies longevity, and for which we cannot thank you enough.

Read what others have said, or have your say here.

I would like to congratulate both Anne Reid and Maureen Lipman on all the episodes. I absolutely love the series and not having heard it on the radio, I cannot compare but I think their version is really funny (as to be expected) and really enjoy watching it on 'catch-up'.

I am so very sorry that Anne Reid and Maureen Lipman have been cast for the tv series; both fine actors but sadly NOT the Ladies of Letters.

Perhaps Aunty Beeb wouldn't allow Patricia Routledge and Prunella Scales to appear but then perhaps the BBC should have secured the tv rights as well as the radio rights!

Had not heard of this programme before, but was told to watch by friends. They had seen it advertised and as my name is also Irene Spencer, they thought I would find it amusing! Well, they were right. It is so witty and clever. Shame it is 'hidden' on ITV3, it deserves a larger audience.

Ladies of Letters TV series ...Why on earth did you not use Patricia Routledge and Prunella Scales?
Anne Reid just doesn't do justice to the character. They are Ladies, they are not the Coarse characters portrayed by Anne and Maureen Lipman.
I will stick to the cd's I bought. My friends also agree.

I just had to write to you regarding the series "Ladies of Letters" What a wonderful programme. I didn't realize it was adapted from radio 4 . The trailer for the series was frequently advertised on ITV 1. I said to my husband i must watch this as I am a big fan of the two leading actresses. For some reason or another I missed the first 2 episodes so thank goodness for IPlayer. i was able to catch up. Compulsive viewing !! I cannot wait for the next episode. I seemed to lose myself in the Brilliant Writing. How Lovely!!!!

Have just watched both episodes of Ladies of Letters on the ITV web-site. The programme was recommended to me by a friend who had listened to it on the radio. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Well done for showing a well written, easy to watch programme with no foul language. I shall definitely watch the other episodes and look forward to them with glee. My husband is busy watching the football, so it made a nice change to watch something for me.

I have watched both episodes of Ladies of Letters and think it is great, well done ITV 3 but it should have been on ITV 1 as not many people would watch it. I thought it was fab and am looking forward to the next episode. Maureen Lipman and Anne Reid are such good actresses !!

I was absolutely thrilled to have seen the brilliant episodes of Ladies of Letters with the wonderful actresses, Maureen Lipman and Anne Reid, who portray the characters so well. It deserves to be 'prime time' viewing!! I loved it but then I knew it would be good in such capable hands.
